I got a question…

After reading yet another glowing report of how wonderful the ’50s were …and I’m not saying they werent, I just wasn’t there and am a little cynical of the stereotype, I’m wondering something. If all this is true (especially the part about children not talking back and parents’ word being law), HOW on EARTH do you explain these children growing up and being the teenagers/college age kids of the ’60’s??? I just don’t get it. Anyone able to explain that?

  1. Amen, sister. The 50’s kids were nurtured, coddled and doted on and how did they pay back their parents? Woodstock, drugs and the sexual revolution. Uh, thanks.
